Why do they gather in coffee shops
Talking conversation chit chat
Stocks and winnings
Stocks and losings

The Chinese coal debacle.
How much money I made
Glad I got out of that one
Then over to the IT department
Networks and operating systems
And a quick comment about the weather
Hot one already today.
No global climate change
Nor concern for the earthquake survivors in Japan
A reach into the pocket for a big credit card
For a vacation home, a yacht
Or maybe these old men aren't rich
But wish they could be
Their thoughts and concerns swirl around
Treasuries and the RGLD
While mine are swirling in the oil spill
And the suffering of animals
Perhaps this us why my wallet is thin
No investment real estate
No municipal bonds
Just a heart that's too open
too vulnerable
That spills tears too often
Leaving me empty
and even angry - so angry -
while I listen to the old men
without souls
