Dream
My foot – with animal claw-like toes! And a strange "doctor" in a white lab coat presenting to me the only solution...

Hungry for Red Sauce?
This Tampa-area print ad otta be filed under the "What's Wrong With This Picture" category of mentally-challenged advertising. I don't need to point out the obvious font as well as the moody lighting in the black-and-white photo of some random Italian-American (perhaps the owner?) But the blood-dripping "sauce" off the fork into the font? Really?
Does it make you hungry for some pasta or are you feeling nervous about that loan from your Uncle Frankie?
And all Italian-Americans are linked somehow with the Mafia. Aren't they?

Do Old Men Have Souls?
Do old men have souls?
Why do they gather in coffee shops
Talking conversation chit chat
Stocks and winnings
Stocks and losings

Stocks and winnings

Wandering
I'm driving but I'm not the driver
Snaking streets hidden cul-de-sacs
Getting lost or getting around?
Palm trees and hibiscus
Garbage barrels, old jalopies
and pickup trucks
Windows rolled down
The air is warm, soft and humid
One eye blink, two eye blinks
Curvy New England neighborhood
Big old oaks and maples
But icy, dark and gray
My gut aches; I feel cold
and a deep longing like homesickness
melancholy, fever
Give me the wheel!
I can no longer sit as a passenger
But I don't know where to go.

What dreams will come tonight?
What dreams will come tonight?
I hope the kind that guide and teach.
Last night I was a reluctant actor
Who nonetheless accepted her role and performed.

Today's Scribble
(Inspired by travel and recent news)
Southwest Airlines blow-out sale
Everything must go!
Fuselage, seats, overhead bins
Passengers, pilots, crew
Don't miss out
forget Delta and Jet Blue
Wanna get away?

$2000 Raised for Rosie’s Place
Boston and MetroWest area women musicians performed last evening to a packed house at La Carreta Mexican Restaurant in Framingham, MA for the Strike a Chord Concerts for Charity benefit for Rosie’s Place in Boston. The event was a success, raising $2000 and awareness for the homeless and poor women of Rosie’s Place. Thanks to all the performers, visual artists and to all who came out to support Rosie’s Place, as well as local art and music in Boston/MetroWest!
